Letters to the Editor | Join The Memory Walk To Beat DementiaDear Editor,

I wanted to make your readers aware that time is running out to sign up for Alzheimer’s Society’s Portsmouth Memory Walk. We’d love your readers to unite against dementia and walk for a world without dementia.

Dementia devastates lives. Walk with us at Memory Walk and dementia won’t win. Every pound raised will help Alzheimer’s Society provide information and support, improve care, fund research and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.

A total of 2,016 supporters have already registered to take part in the Portsmouth Memory Walk, which will be at Castle Field, Portsmouth, on Sunday 24 September.

More than 2,200 people in Portsmouth are living with dementia and last year’s event – attended by 2,653 people – raised more than £228,000 to help people living with the condition.

Sign up today at memorywalk.org.uk and unite against dementia. Registration closes on Thursday 21 September.

Nick O’Donohue,

Alzheimer’s Society Operations Manager for Hampshire and the Islands

John Pounds Centre, 23 Queen Street, Portsmouth, PO1 3HN
