Local Romsey News | Planners To Consider Revised Applications For 120 New Homes In Wellow and Awbridge | Romsey & VillagesA revised application put forward by Gladman Homes to build 115 houses off Romsey Road in Wellow and 5 homes off Romsey Road in Awbridge is due to be heard by Test Valley's Planning Committee later this month.

The application for 115 residential dwellings on land adjacent to Bridge Farm on Romsey Road in West Wellow, includes approximately 46 homes as affordable housing. It also seeks outline planning permission for introduction of structural planting and land landscaping, informal public open space, a child's play area and vehicular access point from Buttons Lane.

The application was met with a high amount of opposition and was initially refused, Test Valley planners have recommended the revised application is again refused.

An original application to redevelop the site of the large house 'Banksia' in Awbridge has also been refused once already by planners. Gladman have revised the application now to include a further five detached dwellings as well as the redevelopment of the existing property.

Awbridge Parish Council have objected to the application however Test Valley planners have recommended permission for the revised application.

Test Valley's Planning Committee will be meeting at Crosfield Hall in Romsey on the 21st February at 5.30pm. Residents are welcome to attend the meeting and make their thoughts heard.
