Romsey Rugby Club Will Host Special Day To Remember Mac Campbell

Romsey Rugby Club will be hosting a special day next year to remember and celebrate the life of Macaulay Campbell.

Macaulay died when his car was involved in a collision with a BMW 520 on the A3057 near to Romsey Golf Course on the 20th February 2016.

Just hours before his death, he had been named 'Man of the Match' after an impressive performance for Romsey Rugby Club which saw a 19-3 win over Arlesford.

On 24th February, Romsey Rugby Club will host the day to remember Mac. In the morning Mountbatten School and The Romsey School will compete at all age groups u12-u16 for the Campbell Cup at 10am at the Sports Centre.

At 2pm there will be a friendly seniors game between Romsey and Alresford.

Following this, everyone will go to the clubhouse to watch the Scotland v England game kicking off at 4.45pm.

A post on the Romsey Rugby Club website states: 'Players, family and friends will all be welcome on what will be a great day.'
