A34 Southbound Closed For Over Turned Lorries

Two lorries overturned on the A34 this morning (10th January 2018).

The first incident was on the A34 near Winnall, four fire engines from Winchester, Eastleigh and Redbridge attended the incident this morning, the vehicle was on its side and the driver was trapped.

The driver was extricated by fire crews and passed to the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

There were long delays on the road due to the incident.

Emergency vehicles were in attendance.

Hampshire Police are now dealing with another overturned lorry on the A34 southbound.

As a result the A34 southbound at Bullington Cross and Three Maids HIll is closed.

Fortunately there were no serious injuries.

Police are working with partners to clear the lorry from the road as soon and as safely as possible.

As a result the road is expected to be closed until around lunchtime.

Hampshire Police apologise for any inconvenience that this will cause and will update you when the road is reopened.
