Romsey Local News | Police Launch Appeal After Elderly Woman BurgledPolice officers are appealing for information following the burglary of an elderly woman's home in Romsey.

Burglars gained entrance to the house on Middlebridge Street through an insecure frotn door, while the woman was at home.

A search of the bedrooms was carried out and various items of jewellery was stolen as well as a purse.

The victim later noticed muddy footsteps on the stairs which led to her discover she had burgled.

PC Charles Buckingham, said: “Around £600 worth of jewellery was stolen during this incident and I am urging anyone with information to get in touch.

“We’d like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone in the area acting suspiciously as the time of the incident.

“As always, we would remind residents to be vigilant and ensure their property is secure.”

Three boys, aged 16, 15 and 12, from Totton have been arrested in connection with this incident and are currently in police custody.
